Yahoo's stock price has dropped about 30 percent since the beginning of this year. It was trading late today at $27.35. The news source quoted that the announcement could also be a major acquisition, given the attention the Webcast has received inside Yahoo's corporate headquarters.

In news on Wednesday, and continuing on the previous Yahoo news, the company's COO, Dan Rosensweig and another executive are leaving Yahoo as part of some major restructuring changes announced late yesterday after the markets closed. Yahoo spokeswoman Joanna Stevens also added that Lloyd Braun, the head of Yahoo's media and entertainment group is leaving. "John Marcom, senior v.p. of international operations is also leaving Yahoo soon" she said. Stevens declined to provide more details.
