The reason they are still using them today is simply because they work! Headlines can have the same, attention-grabbing features in SEO. An added bonus is the ability to incorporate your important keywords and key phrases in them. Headlines in any website will help both the search engines AND your users. If you think for one second your users don’t care if they read headlines or not, you are making a big mistake. What we call “juicy headlines” that are short and very descriptive give your website an advantage on the sites of your competitors in two very important ways. Paid inclusion search engines Want to boost your site traffic and reach new markets? Independently of how high your site ranks today, or even if it isn't optimized for the search engines yet, you can still get a good improvement in traffic with a listing from a good paid inclusion search engine. As the name implies, a paid inclusion program is just that: you pay a certain annual fee and the search engine includes your site in their search listings. However all paid inclusion search engines are NOT created equal. It's still buyer beware out there. If you think a paid inclusion program makes sense for you, I would recommend you have a good look at Global Business Listing, which, in my mind represents the best value in inclusion services. For $99 a year, they will build you a customized page like this, complete with your logo, a description of the products and services offered on your site, plus three links back to your site, two of which are text links! What does all this mean? Well, the text links means the search engine transfers full PR (Page Rank) to your site. Coming with a strong PR 6, Global Business Listing will effectively transfer that PR 6 to your site, giving you a real boost in your PR. But it's more than that. They will create for you a listings directory and prominently place your listing in that directory. If your industry does not already exist in their current directory, they will create a new industry listing for you in that directory. So all that for only $99 for a year sounds like a pretty good deal to me. But wait, there's more! Everybody that signs up with the service get a 10% discount on their Web hosting, thanks to a deal negotiated with Sun Hosting. That company already is a wholesale hosting service, which means their rates are already discounted from what's normally available on the market today, so a 10% added discount means you will be paying a lot less than what you are now. Does all this sound like a good deal to you? It does to me, and for all those reasons I recommend to all my readers that they join the service. There isn't even a contract to sign and no papers to fill out. What more can you ask from such a friendly paid inclusion search engine? Well, that's it for today folks.
