Question -- Serge, is it true that Google did a database update about 10 days ago? Thanks.

Answer -- It is true, but it was a rather small one. In the week or two weeks that usually preceded the American Thanksgiving, Google used to perform some rather important and very drastic database updates a few years ago. The most 'infamous' of these was the Florida Update on Nov. 16, 2003, that decimated the sites of millions of small businesses, literally overnight.

For the most part, this one was 'quiet' and didn't make a lot of noise... We saw some sites go up, while others either remained the same or slightly drifted lower, but it was a 'non-event' when compared to years' past.
