I'm referring to the many shopping cart templates and the various ready-made tools that come with some of them. What I like about them is that we don't have "to reinvent the wheel" again, since the vendors that make them claim that you just install and configure them and, presto: you have a fully-integrated eCommerce site complete with a products catalog, shopping cart and secure credit card checkout.

I'm sure they're a bit more complicated than that, but my main concern is, are they search engine-friendly? There's really no sense for me to waste my time (and money) on a bundled application if my site's rankings will end up in the dumpster. Thank you in advance for your answer.
