In news on Thursday, according to marketing analyst firm Classified Intelligence, Google's planned classified ads service is already patent-pending. Classified Intelligence's John Zappe analyzed Google's new patent application, which includes screen shots for Google Purchases and Classifieds.Google.com. There's also an interface for posting classified ads. Zappe thinks that the program is a system for helping sellers develop classified ads that can be accessed through search.
