Yahoo has put up a page on scheduling recordings via Yahoo for the TiVo Series2 DVR where from any Yahoo TV episode page, members of this service can just click “Record to my TiVo box". In order to use the Yahoo TiVo service, however, one must have a Yahoo account (Yahoo Email) and a TiVo Series 2 DVR. What about all of those rumors about Google buying TiVo? Looks like Yahoo’s new partnership has squashed those. Nick at ThreadWatch comments “Surprise surprise! While you might expect Google to buy TiVo, Yahoo, true to form, will simply integrate with it. Smart Move.”

In an effort to compete against Yahoo's recently launched Yahoo Publisher Network, Google has launched its new AdSense referral program. Introduced Friday, Google's new referral program is targeted at websites that participate in its AdSense network. With AdSense, Web publishers agree to run text and banner ads brokered by Google and share per-click revenue with the company. Google ensures the ads are relevant to the site's content via contextual ad-matching technology. Now Google will reward AdSense participants that refer other small Web publishers and bloggers to the program. The company will pay $100 per AdSense sign-up after new participants earn their first $100 in ad revenue, the company said.
