Answer -- Your question is a very good one and one I keep getting a lot. I can't really tell you what's taking them so long... Google is at least two months late (if not more) on its Page Rank update. There's really now reason for them to postpone this as long as they've had.

However, you should remember that the PR green bar you're seeing in your browser might lead you to think that the PR values you're seeing are 5 or 6 months old and they are. But it's important for you to know that everyday, Google knows what is the exact and true value of your site's PR. It's not because the green bar isn't "refreshed" that Google isn't.
