However, we noticed our traffic over the course of the month dropped dramatically. We are still seeing pages indexed and about 40% of the traffic is still there. We have recently set up permanent 301 redirects (like you told us in your article) for this area of the site.

So my question with the site you referred in your article (business.com) having suffered some problems similar, did they eventually get their ranking back and if so, how long did it take? Was there anything extra that had to be done or did it just have to work its course of time?

Answer -- Hello there. Thanks for the interest. I don’t know how long it took for business.com to get their traffic back to where it was, but I would probably think it took them at least one Google update, which, these days can take months!
