The subject of pricing professional SEO services has always been a tricky question at best, since there are so many elements to consider. Additionally, I must stress the importance of comparing 'apples with apples' as the old saying goes. There are many different SEO programs available on the market today, and some vary substantially from one to the other. Of course, you should do your due diligence and carefully evaluate all your options. Also, make certain the SEO firm you would want to do business with puts everything down in writing.

This last precaution is extremely important, since it may avoid some nasty surprises for you down the road. SEO is an art as well as a science and I still see a lot of questionable SEO firms that will guarantee you first place or number One positioning. Such a claim or statement is impossible to guarantee, since no SEO firm can control any search engines. The 2003 Florida Update and the 2004 Austin Updates at Google were perfect examples of this, and serves to further prove my point.
