Question -- Serge, for the past few months, I’ve had an idea that keeps coming back to me all the time. Tell me if this makes sense to you. Since I have been carefully following your advice for the past 2 years, and since, thanks to your articles and news stories, I have successfully positioned my site from ‘nowhere to be found’ to a number 2 position on Google, I think I’m ready for something new. I happen to be a car buff and I especially love old and antique cars.

My idea is to create a portal website that will cater to car buffs like me and to collectors of antique cars and trucks. I guess I could optimize my portal to be within the first few on the top in Google, Yahoo and MSN. Once I get there, I intend to start getting some advertisers and place ads on my site. That way, I will generate an extra income for me, while doing something I love. Makes sense to you or am I dreaming?

Answer -- You aren’t dreaming at all. Your idea makes a lot of sense. In fact, there are many that have done this and are now reaping some of the benefits for their efforts.
