Since the PC industry and today's information age are such highly technical fields, I would start by creating an index or a glossary of the all the often-used technical terms. Then I would break the whole thing down in various sections such as: Hard Drives, Memory, CPUs, Mother Boards, Cooling Fans, Monitors, Printers, Laptops, Cables, Accessories, etc.

So if a user needs information on his hard drive, all he needs to do is visit that section on your forum. Once he finds something that is helpful, you should invite that reader in clicking on a link on your forum that will bring him directly to an appropriate page on your Web site. Make sure the link is relevant. If the link says hard drive formatting then the user will expect to read on how to format his hard drive on your site. A forum is a great way to help your users and customers, while at the same time help your rankings in the search engines, if done correctly of course. Good luck!
