Additionally, you can also write a Spam Report to Google. The URL is http://www.google.com/contact/spamreport.html. After all that, what I suggest you do is to continue to monitor those sites to see if at one point in time Google will have removed them from its search database. That's about it.

However, what you should continue to do is exactly what you've been doing for so long: continue to build quality and valuable content for your users and I'm sure that over time Google and the other SEs will recognize your hard work and reward you for it. It may take a lot of time but I'm sure it is time well spent. Good luck with your site.
