I'm also not sure if the robots.txt file would function in an account on a free server. I'm also not sure if I should just take out the content in the old pages and replace it with a "Moved" notice to the new page, or leave the content on both the old page and the new page and do whatever is needed to direct the visitor to the new page, although that may be seen as duplication. Sorry for asking so many questions, but I'm really lost on this one. I'm just about to give up on all of this! Thanks for any advice.

Hi there. Well, those are many questions, but I will try to answer them separately as best I can.      :-)      I also don't think you should "throw in the towel" either... First, let me just make it perfectly clear by saying I have NEVER worked with a “free server” and certainly don’t plan it anytime soon. Also, I will tell you this: Are you really sure you want to use a so-called “free server” (although I still don’t think there exists such a thing – So called “free servers” load up your site with many unwanted ads, with some of them being extremely irrelevant and sometimes downright offending. That’s on top of all the pop-ups and “pop-unders” they add on your site without even telling you). Also, most of the so-called “free servers” I have encountered usually run very slow and are oftentimes overloaded with just simply too many websites.
