One more time, Google has changed the rules (as they always do). It used to be that the more pages you have in a site, the better it is, both for your PageRank as well as your search rankings. However, with all the many changes that Google has done to its algorithm, if you have too many pages in a site, then your PageRank (PR) gets distributed with more and more pages, which in essence further dilutes your PR.

Most SEO and the vast majority of webmasters today all know that Google (and even to a lesser extent, Yahoo) are in a constant state of flux.
