Question -- Serge, thank you on a superb SEO resource! I don't know where I'd be if I didn't get my weekly dose of all the good stuff you write week after week! Here's my dilemma: my business partner and I want to completely redesign our site. It has about 200 pages of good information and we've had it for about 3 years now.

Here's where we disagree: he wants to keep all the same filenames and URLs but I don't. Since we want to make a full overhaul of the site, why not change all the links and URLs while we still have 'both hands in it' is what I say. Who's right: me or... him? Thanks Serge.

Answer -- I'm thrilled if you appreciate the newsletter and that if it teaches you new things every week. Unfortunately, I have to say that he's right and... well you're wrong (sorry). Here's why: it takes anywhere from 2 to 4 months (and sometimes more) for Google to fully index a page and give it a PR value.
