Should you optimize your site for it? I've always said that once your site is well optimized, has a lot of great and unique content and has some inbound links pointing to your domain, it should do well in ALL the engines, not just one in particular. In fact, there's no such thing as optimizing for just one search engine. If someone tells you differently, watch out, since they could imply they use doorway (or gateway) pages which are forbidden by Google and most of the other search engines. Design a great resource and you will do great in all of them!

Question -- Serge do you know of any shopping cart software that is search engine-friendly? So far we've tried two packages and they aren't. We're looking for something that won't hinder our rankings with the engines. A year ago our site consisted only of information. Now we have a shopping cart and a secure payment area. We just need something that is search engine-friendly. Thank you for any help you can provide us.
