Many of these only apply to HTTP servers (most servers today are of the HTTP type) whose default behavior is to map URLs to file system entities. However, from an SEO point of view, the main benefit you would be interested in is most likely Number 1.

Take a URL such as this one:
http://www.site.com/index.php?catbh34&dkkq94dskklww934848CMKWP03492glsq
Such a URL is totally meaningless to the average search egine.

On the other hand, a URL such as this would be helpful to any search engine:
http://www.site.com/men-brown-shoes-size-nine-spring-2007.html
