Our forum thread of the week goes to member SEO Cat as he noticed that on Wednesday there weren't any FreshDates anywhere in Google. SEO Cat asked if FreshBot was on vacation or something, as even CNN didn't have any fresh dates on Wednesday.

In case you don't know, FreshBot is the 'un-official' name given to Google's crawling bot that visits your site daily or every two days or so. In the case of a large and prominent news site such as CNN, it usually crawls that site at least once very 30 minutes or so. Once crawled, at some point during the day Google will display today's date next to the site's URL. That way you know when the site was last crawled.
