But remember that from the very start, Matt Cutts also stated that Big Daddy was a lot more than just a mere update: it was (and still is) a whole new infrastructure implementation of Google's more than 25 largest data centers, coupled with some very important changes in its complex search algorithms. Google also applied new filters in an effort to better fight the on-going war against search engine spammers that are always trying to find newer and sneakier ways to play havoc with Google's search results. Google only has ONE single thing in mind: the quality and integrity of its search results and will do whatever it takes to continue on that straight path. Also, Google is expected to make another PR update any day now, so expect even more instability in the mean time... When will all of this end? Only Google can answer that question at this point in time, but I expect the SERPs to become more stable after this PR update. As a side note, after many of the PR updates I've witnessed over the past three years, SERPs in Google tend to stabilize a bit. Let's hope this one isn't different.
