We've even made some testing of our own. Here's what we did: We randomly selected four sites in each of five totally unrelated industries, for a total of 20 Web sites. Out of those 20 sites, five were sites we either created for clients from the ground up, or older sites which we completely overhauled and added hundreds of new and very relevant pages to their main site's topic. What the two groups had in common were that they were very rich in quality and unique, relevant content.

What we found is that in the cases where lots of new pages were added to specific sites, those sites all had increased traffic and many also converted better to boot. But here's the real kicker: all of the sites with the highest content all moved up in their rankings in both Google, Yahoo and MSN when compared to the other 15 sites where content stayed the same.
