Question -- Serge my site was launched around the March 15 period and (at least so far) I haven't seen any traces of Googlebot coming anywhere close to my site. I've been frantically checking my server log files for traces of it. Somehow I feel as lonely as a lost soul on planet Pluto. What gives? Google dosen't like me?

Stay on this planet! I still think it's more hospitable than anything as remote as planet Pluto! First, Googlebot is slowly being phased out to make way for Google's new Mozilla 1.0 and 2.0 bots. A bot is like a spider or crawler. Truly the best way for Google to notice your site (or any other SE for that matter) is to have some links point at your Web site. If it's like an 'isolated island' on the Internet no search engines will be able to see it... What we do when we launch a brand new site is we buy a few links going to that newly launched site and THAT certainly works for us all the time!
