Answer -- Yep! You are 100 percent right on that one, my friend. A site is like fine wine: it gets better and more valuable with the passage of time! Your example is like the hundreds more we see here every week. A site that was launched days ago will seldom rank anywhere. In fact you may not even see it in the first 100 pages of Google!

For all intents and purposes, and with all else being equal (if there is such a thing in SEO) the older a site gets, usually the better it will do in the search results pages. Of course this can vary depending on certain specific factors such as the presence of some very relevant keywords on a page, but generally speaking this is where it's at today.
