Now we have two sites essentially selling the same product and I know this may be a bad thing! My fear is that Google may penalize our corporate site or worse, both sites! What do you think we should do? I'm really concerned about this. Thanks Serge.

Answer -- I understand and share your worries on this. Although your reasoning makes a lot of sense, I would be careful with this. Here's what I would do:

1) Build a lot of new and different content on your new branding site. Make 100% sure that all that content is very different than from your corporate site. You don't want to trigger any red flags here. Use new keywords and title tags.
