Like PageRank, keyword density isn't everything, but as you can realize by now, it's still a very important criteria and you want to make certain that you've got it right all the time.

In our daily work as an SEO company, we come across many sites that don't have the right keyword density; they either have it way too high and are risking a penalty, or it's almost at zero, thereby removing their chances of getting decent rankings. Make sure you get the right keyword density at all times. Take the necessary time it takes and you will be happy you did!
