Question -- Serge, thanks for your helpful newsletter. I don't know what I would do without it. My question is how do pay-for-placement programs differ from SEO?

With SEO, you are really paying to substantially increase your access to global targeted visitors across dozens, hundreds or even thousands of possible keywords and key phrases. You don't pay for each individual click-through, and you don't need to pay for every individual targeted keyword either.

Also, your SEO efforts and the money you have invested in them will continue to work for you for many years to come. SEO is considered a long-term investment as opposed to PPC which is more of a short-term investment.
