Answer -- Hi there, and no; it isn't just you! We've noticed exactly the same behaviour here too. In fact, there are more and more forum threads that are talking about this problem. There are even some that think Google might even drop its own PR algo...

Any clues? Well, I have either A or B...

A: There is a potential problem with Google's PageRank algorithm and it is trying to fix it. Or maybe they are still doing some testing on it?

B: Or the update simply isn't finished yet. Maybe they are having problems with some of their servers?

There are a number of things that could go wrong with this. But, if I were you, I wouldn't worry too much about it. I'm sure they will fix it soon and all will be ok. Remember that PR isn't everything; it's only part of the whole ranking algorithm.
