There might even be a few more advantages to hiring a good copy writer but these are certainly the main ones. An efficient and knowledgeable copy writer is one that (obviously) writes well, preferably a "natural" writer, but its also a lot more than that. A good copy writer needs to fully understand the importance of SEO and placing and USING the right keywords in the right places too!

Here's what I mean: About three years ago, I had to work (I say had to because the client I was optimizing his site for at the time ordered me to work with his so-called copy writer) with this copy writer.

I knew it would be a really tough battle when I saw him cringe at the mere thought of repeating important and strategic keywords more than once in pages that were more than 800 words long! He even told me: "I can't use the same word twice on the same page, this is not "ethical" and won't read right". Of course, I couldn't believe I was hearing this! I immediately told my client he had three choices: either the copy writer would follow my instructions and we would work as a team, or find a new copy writer, or, look for a new SEO.
