Us SEO's have learned to expect a lot of volatily in Google's updates and I strongly believe they will get a lot more volatile and will take a lot longer to complete as we move forward. The reason to this is that Google's index keeps getting bigger and bigger on each and every update. Its now more than eight billion pages and I wouldn't be surprised to see it close to 10 billion once this BD update is over. Remember that there are many observers that estimate the Web is growing at a rate of anywhere from seven to ten million new Web pages every day of the week! Think about this for a minute.

These are new sites being launched, portals, new blogs (they are now more and more popular) and older sites that their owners or webmasters have decided to create and upload new pages on their servers. Add to that the sheer number of new forums, the many new landing pages of which I know some are created specifically to improve conversion rates, etc. etc. and you get an idea of what I'm talking about! The Internet is growing at a very fast rate, and I don't see any end to this. If anything, I expect it to grow even faster within the next 2 to 3 years.
