If you can and if you have the time, try building and uploading 5 to 10 new pages a week. If you do that, in a year your site will have between 260 to 520 more pages in it.

Remember that, with everything else being equal, a site that has 1,000 pages will always be viewed as more valuable, not just by Google and the other SE’s, but also by your users and your advertisers, than a site that just basically consists of only ten or so pages! Good luck with your project.

Question -- Serge, what's happening with Google's PR toolbar? Is it broken? It keeps going up and down all the time. It used to be so stable before, but now I don't think it gives us the right information anymore. Is it just me or did you notice the same things too? This is really frustrating for me.

Yep, I sure have! In fact this has been going on since the beginning of 2006. Please keep in mind that Google didn't do a PR update on Dec. 31 like it usually did for the past 4 to 5 years. Also, right now Google is in the middle of a very large and important database update called Big Daddy (BD) which is amply discussed in this forum thread.
