Obviously, this wasn't the case this time. Instead, Google's PR update started around Jan. 17 and only ended late Wednesday evening, Jan. 24. I can remember not that long ago, it took Google from 24 to 48 hours to update its PR values across all the sites on the Internet. But today, Google's index is growing so fast that it now takes it about a whole week for the whole update to complete!

At any rate, it was basically a non-event. Most of the sites we are closely monitoring were either stable, while some increased a point, for example from PR 5 to 6, or from PR 6 to PR 7. One thing I did notice is that Google seem to give preference to sites that are linking to other sites if they are relevant.
