For example, the last time you had a PR 3 on your site, maybe Google had it as a PR 4 for a couple of months, but you simply didn't "see" it until Google made its PR update. We see this almost all the time. By the time you see it, Google had it all under control in its own system. Instead of wasting a lot of time and resources on PR, I would concentrate on building great content with lots and lots of new pages added to your site. I know this is a lot of additional work for you, but it's one of the best ways you will really get a lot of traction for your site.

As a side note, when was the last time you carefully checked what real keywords and search terms prospective visitors are typing in the search engines? Remember that these change over time and the only sure way you will ever know if you're on the right track is if you verify them against Wordtraker, the ONLY tool worth investing in, if you're really serious about your site that is.
