Since many searchers can't always know about the exact search terms they should be typing for, I've noticed they very often input very broad and generic terms. So my question is, should all my inner pages be optimized for one particular keyword per page, my website's general topic, or both at the same time? Thanks for your help. If at all possible, don't try to fully optimize your site on generic keywords alone. What I mean by this is, a few 'generics' are OK, but it's not what will propel your site in the results pages. After all, let's face it: the leisure industry is a pretty broad one at that. In your email, you did'nt specify if you are in the boat rental business, but you did mention a boat retailer and a marina.
